PNC Launches New Official Website During Congress

The People’s National Congress (PNC) has launched its new official website, with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu inaugurating the platform during the closing ceremony of the party’s congress on Friday night.

The new website was launched as part of the party’s efforts to modernise its digital presence and provide information about its activities, leadership and policies through a dedicated online platform.

According to the PNC, the website has been developed using modern standards and incorporates the latest digital tools and features. The platform is now accessible through the party’s official website.

The launch came at the conclusion of the PNC Congress, which began earlier this week and saw the election of members to various positions within the party’s leadership structure.

During the congress, six individuals were elected as PNC vice presidents, while members were also elected to the party’s High Council, including 10 women and seven youth representatives. The party also elected 18 members to the general seats of the High Council.

The congress also featured the use of a digital voting system for the party’s internal elections. The PNC described the digital voting process as a significant development in its internal electoral procedures.

The launch of the website and the use of digital voting come as digitalisation remains a prominent part of the government’s stated development agenda under President Muizzu.

The newly launched website currently features the party’s latest news and information, including updates on the newly elected High Council and other party activities.
