MTCC says the Malé North Side Boduthakurufaanu Magu Road Project (Phase 1) is nearing completion, with road markings finished and the remaining parking zone markings and street light installation expected to be completed within the week.
The Malé North Side Boduthakurufaanu Magu Road Project (Phase 1) has reached another major milestone, with road marking works now completed, according to the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
MTCC said construction of the parking zone and sidewalks on Segments 2 and 3 has also been completed, leaving only the remaining finishing works, which are expected to be completed today.
The company added that parking zone marking and street light installation works are currently in progress and are scheduled to be completed within the week, bringing the project closer to full completion.
The project is aimed at improving traffic flow, pedestrian safety and roadside parking facilities along one of Malé City’s busiest roads. The upgraded corridor includes new sidewalks, designated parking areas, road markings and improved street lighting to enhance accessibility and safety for motorists and pedestrians.
MTCC has been carrying out the project as part of the government’s efforts to modernise road infrastructure in the capital and improve the overall urban transport network.
