President Muizzu Launches Island Tour in Lh. and K. Atolls

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu departed today on a two-day tour to seven inhabited islands across Lhaviyani and Kaafu Atolls.

He arrived in Lhaviyani Atoll first and visited the islands of Hinnavaru, Naifaru, Kurendhoo and Olhuvelifushi. In Kaafu Atoll, he will go to Kaashidhoo, Dhiffushi and Thulusdhoo.

He plans to meet island councils and women’s development committees on each island. He will ask them about local development needs and listen to the people’s most pressing concerns. The trip forms one leg of his nationwide tour to visit every atoll, island and city council in the Maldives.

He is travelling accompanied by ministers and senior officials from various government institutions.
