The Ministry of Education has announced that schools will remain open only during the first week of Ramadan, under the revised academic calendar.
The Education Ministry said the period from March 1 to 8 will be designated as professional development (PD) days for teachers, during which students will not be required to attend school.
Classes will not be held during the last 10 days of Ramadan, as these days are declared public holidays. The updated academic calendar also outlines public and academic holidays for teachers and students.
