Maldives Tourism Hits New Monthly Record

The Maldives hit a tourism record in January, welcoming 224,788 visitors.

The total beats December 2025’s previous high.

The highest number of tourist arrivals last month were recorded from three countries

• 29,171 from Russia
• 23,171 from Italy
• 22,676 from China.

Tourism Minister Thoriq Ibrahim said the milestone reflects President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s vision and shows the impact of collective effort.
