Rathafandhoo Harbour Work Begins

Harbour development in Rathafandhoo, Gaafu Dhaalu has officially begun, with the project inaugurated at a special ceremony.

Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure Dr Abdulla Muththalib has launched the project. Heavy Force Pvt Ltd is carrying out the work.

The project includes a harbour measuring 905 feet in length and 300 feet in width. It will also feature revetment, groyne and outer channel works.

Authorities will install navigation lights and develop a 464-metre harbour channel. Paving works will also be carried out.

The government has said the project will improve access and convenience for residents and visitors.
