Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has urged the public to follow road regulations and prioritise safety.
In a post on X, the Vice President said safe road use is a responsibility shared by every citizen. He warned that reckless driving can change lives within seconds.
Road accidents remain a major concern in the Maldives, with many people suffering serious and long-term injuries.
According to police statistics, 1,064 road accidents were reported by April this year. The Vice President called on the public to act responsibly and follow traffic rules.
