MTCC has completed 400 metres of sheet piling under the Boduthakurufaanu Magu development project in Malé City.
The works are progressing across segments two, three and four of the project’s first phase. MTCC said capping works and construction of the fourth segment also began last week.
The project includes road development, drainage works and upgrades to sewerage and main water pipes to address flooding in the area. Sewerage works are expected to be completed by the end of this week.
The MVR 144 million project will develop a 1,088-metre stretch from Henveiru Ferry Terminal to North Harbour, with the first phase covering 838 metres from the local market to Henveiru Ferry Terminal.
