President Highlights 100% RTI Compliance

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has said the President’s Office and all ministries have achieved 100 percent compliance with proactive disclosure requirements under the RTI Act.

In a post marking the milestone, the President said this is the first time since the Right to Information Act came into force in 2014 that all ministries and the President’s Office have reached full compliance. He noted that information previously unavailable to the public has now been made accessible.

The President described the right to information as a cornerstone of public trust and democratic governance, adding that the achievement represents an important step towards greater transparency and accountability.

He also thanked institutions and public officials involved in the effort and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to expanding public access to government information through digital platforms.
