Saudi Arabia introduces one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa

Saudi Arabia has introduced a new multiple-entry Umrah visa valid for one year, allowing eligible pilgrims to enter the Kingdom several times within a 365-day period while staying for a cumulative total of up to 90 days.

The initiative, announced by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, is aimed at making Umrah travel more flexible and improving the overall pilgrim experience as part of the Kingdom’s Saudi Vision 2030 reforms.

Under the new system, the visa remains valid for 365 days from the date of issuance. Holders can make multiple visits to Saudi Arabia, provided the total duration of all stays does not exceed 90 days.

The ministry said pilgrims must purchase a service package from an approved provider through the Nusuk platform before each visit. The duration of the package must not exceed the number of days remaining on the visa. In addition, travellers are required to obtain an Umrah permit through the Nusuk application before arriving in the Kingdom.

According to the ministry, the visa will be deactivated each time a pilgrim leaves Saudi Arabia and reactivated once all regulatory requirements for the next visit have been met.

However, the visa cannot be used during the annual Hajj season. It will remain inactive from the first day of Dhu Al-Qi’dah until the 13th day of Dhu Al-Hijjah.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said the new visa is intended to provide greater flexibility for pilgrims planning multiple Umrah trips while supporting the integration of digital services throughout their journey.

The move forms part of broader efforts under Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program to facilitate travel, enhance services and improve operational efficiency for millions of pilgrims visiting the Kingdom each year.
