MTCC has completed all asphalt paving works on Phase 1 of the Malé North Boduthakurufaanu Magu project, with final works including sidewalks, road markings, and utility adjustments now underway.
The Malé North Side Boduthakurufaanu Magu Road Project (Phase 1) has reached another key milestone with the completion of all asphalt paving works.
According to the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), work is now focused on the remaining components of the project. Construction of the parking zone, sidewalk paving, and cable trench installations on Segments 2 and 3 are progressing steadily and are expected to be completed within the coming week.
As the project enters its final phase, road marking works and the raising of junction utilities on Segments 2 and 3 are set to begin this week, bringing the project closer to full completion.
The road project is aimed at improving traffic flow, pedestrian safety, and road infrastructure along one of Malé City’s busiest roads. Earlier this week, MTCC announced that sub-base works and aggregate base course (ABC) had all been completed, marking significant progress in the redevelopment of the road.
