66 Long-Serving Public Servants Receive National Award

A total of 66 individuals have received the National Award for Public Service in recognition of more than four decades of dedicated service to the State.

The recipients were honoured during the Maldives' 61st Independence Day ceremony after each completed over 41 years of public service.

According to the President's Office, all recipients had not previously received the national honour. They were identified under an initiative to recognise long-serving public servants who had been eligible for the award but had not yet been honoured.

Their service records were verified by the President's Office before being reviewed and approved by the National Awards Committee.

The National Award for Public Service is one of the Maldives' highest State honours, recognising individuals for decades of dedicated service to the nation.
