Cable Trench Works Completed on Boduthakurufaanu Magu

The first phase of the Malé North Side Bodu Thakurufaanu Magu Road Project is progressing steadily, with major construction milestones achieved as the project moves closer to completion.

The project contractor, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), said cable trench installation works have now been fully completed. Meanwhile, construction of the parking zone and sidewalk paving works on Segments 2 and 3 are advancing at a rapid pace.

MTCC further stated that road marking works and the raising of junction utilities on Segments 2 and 3 are currently underway and are expected to be completed within the week.

The Boduthakurufaanu Magu project is part of ongoing efforts to upgrade road infrastructure in Malé City by improving road conditions, enhancing pedestrian facilities, organising parking areas, and upgrading essential utility networks.

Upon completion, the project is expected to improve traffic management and provide safer and more accessible facilities for road users and pedestrians along the busy northern corridor of the capital.
