Boduthakurufaanu Magu opens to public

The newly developed section of Boduthakurufaanu Magu between the Henveiru Ferry Terminal and the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) was opened to traffic on Friday as part of the Maldives' Independence Day celebrations.

To mark the occasion, the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) honored employees who contributed to the project during a special ceremony.

MTCC Managing Director DCP (Rtd.) Ahmed Saudhee thanked staff for their efforts and said the project sets a new benchmark for the company's quality standards.

He added that the third phase, extending from North Harbour to West Park, will further improve traffic flow and ease transport challenges in Malé.

MTCC said work on quay wall railings and the pump station will continue, while the company will maintain the road and landscaping during the one-year retention period.
