His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Minister of State and Cabinet Member of Saudi Arabia, arrived in the Maldives on Saturday to attend the country's 61st Independence Day celebrations as the Guest of Honour.
Prince Dr. Mansour is representing Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the invitation of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
He was received at Velana International Airport by Foreign Minister Iruthisham Adam and Principal Secretary to the President on Foreign Relations Mohamed Naseer.
Following his arrival, the visiting dignitary was accorded a Guard of Honour by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).
The visit highlights the longstanding ties between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia as Prince Dr. Mansour joins the country's Independence Day celebrations on behalf of the Saudi leadership.
