MTCC to develop dinghy jetty and beach protection in Villingili

MTCC has been awarded two major infrastructure projects in Villingili, Kaafu Atoll, with a combined value of MVR 60.57 million.

The dinghy jetty project, valued at MVR 14.91 million, will be completed within 150 days and includes harbour dredging, revetment works, walls and a 74-metre bridge.

A separate MVR 45.66 million beach protection project will be completed within 180 days. It includes 1.09 hectares of land reclamation, a 150-metre revetment and a 181-metre outer wall.

The projects aim to address coastal erosion and improve access and transportation for residents of Villingili.
