Saudi royal pays courtesy call on President Muizzu

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Minister of State and Cabinet Member of Saudi Arabia, paid a courtesy call on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Friday during his official visit to the Maldives.

Prince Dr. Mansour is visiting as the Guest of Honour for the Maldives' 61st Independence Day celebrations, representing Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the invitation of President Muizzu.

During the meeting, President Muizzu thanked the Saudi leadership for accepting the invitation and expressed appreciation for the Kingdom's continued support, highlighting the Makkah Route Initiative for easing Hajj travel for Maldivian pilgrims.

Prince Dr. Mansour reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting the Maldives' development and welfare.

The two sides also discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation, including in trade, investment and other areas of mutual interest.
