President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has expressed confidence that the ongoing efforts to empower the youth will yield significant positive results, despite existing challenges. Emphasizing that youth empowerment is a top priority of his administration, the President reaffirmed his commitment to overcoming obstacles to achieve this goal.
The President made these remarks during the fifth episode of the President’s Office’s official podcast series, "The Pulse." This week’s episode focused specifically on youth empowerment, providing a platform for the President to listen and respond directly to the concerns raised by young people.
Highlighting youth as the most vital stakeholders in the nation-building process, President Muizzu detailed the administration's initiatives to foster youth development through economic and educational sectors. He specifically shared updates on the government's efforts to enhance sporting opportunities to an unprecedented level across the Maldives, aimed at building a healthy and active society. The President noted that these projects are not confined to the capital, Malé, but are being implemented nationwide. He further assured that these infrastructure developments are on track to be successfully completed by the first quarter of 2028.
In addition to physical health, the President acknowledged that mental well-being is intricately linked to various life circumstances. He stated that holistic measures are currently being taken to ensure that the youth are mentally resilient and healthy.
