Shazhath Latheef Appointed to AgroNet Board

The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has appointed Shazhath Latheef as a member of the Board of Directors of Agro National Corporation Limited (AgroNet), representing the accounting and finance sector.

According to the PCB, Shazuhath, from Vinavi, G.Dh. Thinadhoo, was appointed to the board on 2 August 2026. The appointment forms part of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s policy of strengthening the governance of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) by bringing professionals with technical expertise onto their boards.

Shazhath currently serves as a Budget Analyst at the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises, a position she has held since 2017.

During her tenure at the ministry, she has been involved in annual budget formulation, baseline budget evaluations, expenditure analysis, budget control, and fiscal risk management. She also provides budget-related guidance to government institutions and contributes to key government publications, including the Budget Statistics Book and the Fiscal Risk Statement.

She holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Bedfordshire and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from the University of the West of England.
